Happy Valley Agventures destinations feature a range of delicious products and recipe ideas to match, guaranteeing you won’t fumble when it comes to keeping your hungry guests in the game.

Here are a few places to add to your game-day routine:

Located in Howard, PA, just down the road from the popular Hublersburg Inn, Goot Essa produces more than 16 varieties of small-batch cow, goat and sheep milk cheese, along with homemade condiments and fudge. Goot Essa cheese is produced using traditional methods, making it popular with chefs in Happy Valley, and throughout the mid-Atlantic.

Visitors to the cheese shop on the Esh family farm won’t have any trouble making selections because sampling the different varieties is encouraged. Friendly staff can also advise on what condiments pair best with certain styles. The Goot Essa website is another helpful resource for recipes, including satisfying main dishes, where its artisanal cheese is the star ingredient.

Located in the village of Madisonburg, Kinfork Café & Country Market  produces cheddar cheese enveloped in five delicious spice blends. The delightful café is always stocked with fresh baked goods, from whoopie pies to cookies to hand pies, along with grass fed beef and other products.

The charming Tait Farm Harvest Shop just outside of Boalsburg is filled with Tait Farm’s specialty foods: chutneys, conserves, mustards, sauces, jellies and fruit shrubs. Every product comes with recipe cards so anyone can create memorable appetizers, desserts and side dishes. A yummy, crowd-pleasing option for cozy game-day viewing is the Hasselback Sandwich Loaf. Honey mustard is the recommended pairing, but any one of Tait Farm’s mustards would be delicious.

Tait Farm shrubs, paired with spirits from the Central PA Tasting Trail, are excellent mixers for replay worthy cocktails. The 19 Tasting Trail establishments offer a full slate of spirits, craft beer, ciders and wines. Shrubs make great mocktails too, so designated drivers will be cheering too.

Way Fruit Farm’s main farm store in Port Matilda and its Calder Way market in downtown State College are great stops to purchase many of your game-day needs. From its own local products, fresh produce, meat, cheese, pasta and more from farms across the state, to its popular pies, muffins, breads, cookies and other fresh-baked item, it’s convenient to tackle your party food shopping list.
