The Tussey Mountain Ugly Sweater Race returns for its final run on December 7, 2025, starting and finishing at Tussey Mountain in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania. With a 9:30 am packet pickup, an 11 am start, a 2 pm podium and holiday after-party, a registration cap of 200 riders, and entry fees ranging from $40 to $70, this is the last chance to experience a beloved winter tradition before Rothrock State Forest phases out most winter events due to Sunday hunting. Riders must pre-register by Wednesday, December 3 at 5 pm ET.

Whether you love singletrack or prefer smooth gravel, the Ugly Sweater Race offers something for everyone.

MTB Courses Expect singletrack, roots, rocks, ridge riding, gravel climbs, and thrilling descents. Both long and short options feature well-marked routes, GPS maps, course marshals, stocked support stations, and the famous mid-ride beer tap.

New This Year: Non-Competitive Gravel Loop For gravel riders who want the fun without the pressure, the new Ugly Gravel Course offers a scenic, 12.6-mile ride through forest roads, vistas, wildlife, and an aid station where you can cheer on MTB racers. Wear your best ugly sweater, snap a photo at the lookout, and soak up the vibes.
