Join us for a special Easter Day Hike on the 2.1-mile Star Mill Trail, where you'll enjoy a scenic walk adorned with fresh beaver activity, migratory waterfowl, and the emergence of new vegetation. As we meet at Boat Launch 4 (weather permitting), we’ll traverse one of our most diverse trails, following the shoreline and looping back through the forest just as new ferns awaken from winter. Additionally, take the opportunity to learn about the Red Winged Black Bird and other migratory species at the Environmental Learning Center. Discover how to identify their mating calls and territorial behaviors while enjoying the chance to observe these birds up close—bring your binoculars or borrow a pair from the park!
