At the Environmental Learning Center, we’ll explore the vital role of scavengers in the Commonwealth that range from microscopic bacteria and fungus to the common crow and turkey vulture. By cleaning up and recycling they accelerate the breakdown of organic material and returning nutrients to the ecosystem, they also control the spread of disease.
