STACY GLEN TIBBETTS is a versatile composer, singer-songwriter, and guitarist whose work spans jazz, swing, folk-rock, and musical theatre. A Penn State–trained musician, he performs regularly as a solo artist and is the host of the monthly open mic at the Gamble Mill Speakeasy. His original cabaret and theatre songs have aired nationally on jazz radio and been showcased in New York City and across Pennsylvania. In addition to performing, he teaches writing at Penn State and remains an active contributor to the regional music and theatre community. JERRY BRESEE was first active on the local scene in the 1970’s and returned to the area with a split personality after 30 years on the DC music scene as a songwriter and jazz guitarist. Arriving in town at the start of the Covid lockdown, he first organized the Covid-era outdoor jazz jam session on the 3 Dots terrace and then joined the Guitar Brothers trio, presenting full evenings of original music. He’s also deeply interested in creating and supporting new venues and in the development of young musicians. From decades on stage to behind-the-scenes moments, this No Filter conversation dives into the rhythms, relationships, and realities of sustaining a local music scene. It's a night packed with stories you may be hearing for the very first time about the history of music in our community. No Filter is our intimate monthly series hosted by Judson Mantz and Ed Kenepp that dives deep into the local music scene with a mix of live performances, candid interviews, and personal stories. Dinner and bar service available all evening. Click GET TICKETS below to reserve your seat.
