The Central Cycling Classic invites riders to explore scenic routes throughout Central Pennsylvania while supporting Centre Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM), the only free clinic in Centre County.
The event features three fully supported ride options: a 62.4-mile Metric Century, a 30.6-mile Half Metric Century, and a 20.9-mile route, with staggered morning start times. Riders can access downloadable route files, color coded road markings, cue sheets, and GPS navigation through RideWithGPS.
Fundraising is encouraged, though not required, and participants may create personal fundraising pages to support CVIM’s medical, dental, behavioral health, case management, and medication assistance services for uninsured neighbors in Centre County. Supporters may also donate directly to individual cyclists if they are unable to ride.
Cyclists from across the region gather each year in Centre County for a day of camaraderie, challenge, and community impact at the Central Cycling Classic. The event offers rolling countryside views, thoughtfully planned routes for riders of all abilities, and a welcoming atmosphere that brings together seasoned riders and casual cyclists alike. Fully supported with clear navigation and on-route assistance, the ride is designed to be both enjoyable and accessible. Participants have the opportunity to amplify their impact by fundraising in support of local health care access, making every mile meaningful for neighbors in need.
