    State Theatre Hosts Actress Tricia Helfer

    Actress Tricia Helfer, best known for her parts in the television shows Battlestar Galactica and Lucifer, will be visiting the State College area on February 28th and March 1st, 2026. She will be a guest at the Happy Valley Comic and Collectibles Convention and in celebration of her visit, The State Theatre will be showing her most recent movie, Primitive War, on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, at 7 pm.

    Helfer is a Canadian actress and former model, best known for her role as Number Six in the science fiction series Battlestar Galactica (2003 – 2009). She also voiced Sarah Kerrigan in the video game StarCraft II and its expansion packs (2010-2015). She portrayed Charlotte Richards/Goddess in the urban fantasy series Lucifer (2016-2021).

    Born is Donalda, Alberta, Canada, she began her modeling career at 17 and transitioned to acting in 2002. Helfer has appeared in numerous high-profile modeling campaigns and has been featured on covers of several fashion magazines.

    Helfer most recently starred in Primitive War, a 2025 Australian science fiction action horror film set during the Vietnam War, where a reconnaissance 
    unit encounters prehistoric dinosaurs while searching for a missing platoon. The movie was directed by Luke Sparke and is based on the 2017 novel by Ethan Pettus.

    Tricia Helfer plays Sofia Wagner, a paleontologist who finds herself isolated in the jungle during the war. Helfer's character is a Russian scientist 
    caught in the chaos of war and survival, facing a heavy conscience and the need to connect with others to survive. 

    Moviegoers who buy a ticket to the movie will be treated to a special Q and A after the movie. The State Theatre will also be offering a special Meet and Greet session before the movie at 6:30 pm in The Attic portion of the movie house. 

    The Meet and Greet will be limited to only 40 people and each participant will get: 

    Tickets are $11 for students and $13 for adults while the limited-seating Meet and Greet is an extra $87. Tickets can be purchased at the State Theatre's webpage.
