Pick a weekend to check out PSU basketball
UNIVERSITY PARK – Love basketball? You are not alone.
The Penn State men’s and women’s teams are off and running as the 2017-18 season has begun. Both squads are enjoying success in the early going.
If you are trying to plan a weekend trip to Happy Valley to see the teams in action, there are some nice games ahead on both schedules.
Although it’s rare, there are a few weekends where you can catch both teams in action – so start planning now! Here they are:
What a way to ring in the New Year!
The Nittany Lions will be in action on Saturday, Dec. 30 when Coppin State visits for a 2 p.m. game at the Bryce Jordan Center.
Then, on Sunday, Dec. 31, the women’s basketball team is in action, facing Maryland in a 2 p.m. tilt at the BJC. After the game, visit downtown State College for First Night festivities. If you’ve never been to First Night, this is the year to check things out. There’s live music, ice sculptures and family-friendly events to celebrate New Year’s Eve.
On Saturday, Feb. 3, the Penn State men’s basketball team entertains Big Ten foe Iowa at the BJC. Tip time for that one has not been set due to television. There are a host of Penn State sporting events that day, including men’s ice hockey, wrestling, men’s lacrosse and men’s volleyball.
The basketball extravaganza continues on Sunday, Feb. 4, when the Lady Lions face Michigan State at 2 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center.
