The Opening Night Pre-Game Tailgate starts at 5 p.m. Tailgate games will be set up around the stadium and beer is just $1 before the game. The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Penn State men’s basketball’s head coach Patrick Chambers, and fans can take photos with the NIT Championship Trophy won by the Nittany Lions this past season. Following the game, kids twelve and under will even be able to run the bases. A dazzling fireworks show will close the opening day festivities.
