SPEAKING WITH PAINT

ABSTRACT ART EXHIBIT

ELK CREEK CAFÉ, MILLHEIM

MAY 6 – JUNE 28

Our language is paint – brushed on, rubbed in, flattened with a palette knife, hurled on, smeared, stamped, delicately applied, immersed in water, and even left out overnight in the woods for Mother Nature to make her mark. We express our emotions in color, line, and shape, from our heart, in creations that we bring through into physical form. Our paintings are sometimes pretty, sometimes dark, colorful, subdued, simple joy, hard-won faith, and always honest. We invite you to speak paint with our abstract art and maybe find another language, or another language may find you.

We are a local group of architect, professor, poet, math teacher, MBA who took up painting at the Art Alliance – Melinda Harr Curley, Jean Giddings, Susan Graham, Marica Tacconi, Deena Ultman.
