The Mini Whinnies at Quarter Acre Wood

We specialize in providing unique experiences with Miniature Horses! From activities and events for children to adults and families! We host pet and paint parties, Art in the Barn workshops, Paint a Pony parties, Hiking with Horses (scheduled similarly like you would a trail ride), birthday parties, Miniature Horse Read-Alongs with our MINI Library, our fun FREE open barn events spring and fall, lessons or sessions, and much more!  

We believe that horses are special creatures and each one has a different ‘horsenality.’ Our hope is to always make learning fun and enjoyable for horses and humans. Though we do not specifically advertise ‘therapy,’ we have experience working in equine therapy at other barns and have seen firsthand the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of being around horses, getting outdoors, and having fun with animals.

Group Tours Information

We provide group tours or lessons for Homeschool or school groups, family and friend groups, and more. Contact us for more information.

Classes Information

We offer lessons and equine education through all of our fun activities as well as education on art and other things occasionally!

Special Events

Paint a Pony events, free themed Open Barn events (2 times/year spring/fall), camps, lessons, free Miniature Horse Read-Alongs and more!

Special Clothing

All guests are required to wear closed-toe shoes while visiting.
