The Bike Roost

Well, this has been a fun and exciting new chapter to the Blacklist Bikeworks saga. In 2016 we started as a small custom frame building operation with a focus on making high-end TIG welded steel bikes. Some of you may have seen a few flashy bikes with sparkly paint and paitnaed copper badges in the shape of a moonshine flask. 

Flash forward to 2021 and now enter Jim Welsh, our Service Manager and co-founder of the Blacklist Bikes mobile bike shop here in State College, PA. It was a crazy two years. Starting with a commercial van buildout on a rapid turn, fighting for inventory during the COVID shortages, and trying to get our name out as a legit bike service shop to everyone in the community. Luckily, Jim’s reputation has made this much easier than anticipated.

Two more years go by and in 2023 new partners Richie O’Neil, Chase Glickman, and Mitch Dipasquale helped Blacklist Bikeworks launch their brick and mortar bike shop: The Bike Roost! With an established reputation through Blacklist Bikes and the local community in need of a welcoming and easy-going bike shop, we knew we had to take the time to create the right atmosphere, product lineup, and style. We think we nailed it, but you be the judge. Come pay us a visit and hang out while you write us a review on Google ;)
