  • All Centre County residents can use Schlow, the Centre of Reading and Learning, with free library cards available from any public library in the County.
  • Browse or check out our 150,000 items, available at either Schlow or online.
  • Our staff serves patrons more than one million times a year through visits, checkouts, programs and many other services.​
  • Schlow was named after the family of prominent local businessman Charles Schlow, who in 1957 donated space in a West College Ave. house for the original Library.
  • Schlow is pronounced with a hard 'sk' sound and rhymes with glow!
