About the Foster Joseph Sayers Reservoir

The 1,730-acre Foster Joseph Sayers Reservoir Lake is the focal point for water-based recreation in Bald Eagle State Park. Motorized boating, paddle boarding, swimming, water skiing and fishing are just some of the many activities that you can take advantage of.

Visiting to fish? Sit on the shore with friends and enjoy a relaxing day of pan fishing or wade through our world-class limestone creeks for big brown, or bring your boat. Boat rentals are also available from the Bald Eagle State Park marina.

If fishing isn’t your thing, rent a kayak or a canoe for a day on the water at this popular Happy Valley destination.

During the warmer months at the park, there is a beach area within walking distance of the inn for public use. Kids will love building a sandcastle at the large lake-side beach.

Overlooking the reservoir and voted the #1 Eco-Lodge in the nation, the Nature Inn at Bald Eagle is unlike any place else in the Pennsylvania state park system.  With 16 overnight guest rooms and multiple meeting spaces, the inn offers sweeping lake views, comfortable modern accommodations and amenities, all within the natural setting of Bald Eagle State Park.
