Big Spring Spirits

Life. Distilled. With an emphasis on local, Big Spring Spirits is a community-centric craft distillery in the heart of Happy Valley, PA. Opening in 2014, Big Spring Spirits is located in Bellefonte’s historic Match Factory next to beautiful Talleyrand Park. They source from local farmers and artisans whenever possible. Whether it is locally sourced whiskeys or Seven Governor’s Gin, Big Spring Spirits draws inspiration from the community and commits to being the best neighbors it can be. Big Spring Spirits is a Bellefonte-based distillery featuring vodka, rum, gin, barrel-aged whiskey and tequila. The Big Spring, whose water has been voted best-tasting water in Pennsylvania, is located beside the distillery. They use this beautiful, minerally-balanced water to make spirits, which is why our line of products is so remarkable. Come taste for yourself!

The corn, wheat, and rye that they use to produce our spirits is acquired within a 25-mile radius of the distillery and spent grains are returned to a local dairy farmer for use as cattle feed. They have been awarded LEED Gold certification, becoming just the second distillery in the country to be recognized for environmental stewardship.  They invite patrons to visit the distillery to sample spirits, tour the production area, and choose from a menu of over 40 award-winning craft cocktails.

Food from Belle City Bites is available Tuesday through Sunday during Tasting Room hours.
