Penn State faces rival Ohio State on the hardwood

UNIVERSITY PARK – Simply put, it’s a make or break stretch for the Penn State men’s basketball team. The Nittany Lions begin a tough slate of games on Thursday, Feb. 15 when Ohio State comes to town for an 8 p.m. tip at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Penn State is asking fans to White Out the Bryce Jordan Center for the game, which is easily the biggest home game of the season.

The Lions (18-9 overall, 8-6 Big Ten) have won three consecutive games and five of their past six. Ohio State will be looking to avenge an 82-79 defeat on their home court back on Jan. 25. The Lions pulled that game out with a Tony Carr three-pointer as time expired. It was the first conference loss for the Buckeyes (22-5, 13-1).

If the Lions are going to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time under Patrick Chambers, these final four regular season games are must-wins. After Ohio State, the Lions face: at Purdue (Sunday, Feb. 18), vs. Michigan (Wednesday, Feb. 21) and at Nebraska (Sunday, Feb. 25).

After that, the Nittany Lions will head to the Big Apple for the Big Ten Tournament, which begins on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

As for Thursday, tickets are still available to see the Lions take on the rival Buckeyes. Visit www.ticketmaster.com – and don’t forget to wear white!
