New Numbers for Some Nittany Lions

Some Penn State football players will be wearing different jersey numbers this fall.

Penn State announced the following changes: redshirt freshman wide receiver Irvin Charles is switching from No. 85 to No. 11 (worn by since-dismissed tight end Brent Wilkerson on offense last season). Nick Scott, who moved from running back to cornerback to safety during the offseason, is switching from No. 24 to No. 4. Redshirt freshman quarterback Tommy Stevens, who is competing for the starting job, will switch from No. 4 to No. 2.
