New in Penn State football news is the recent announcement that PSU will face Georgia State for the first time in program history, Sept. 16. The game will be aired on the Big Ten Network at 7:30 p.m. and is Penn State's first opportunity to go up against a Sun Belt opponent.

As fans may already know, the season opener game against Akron is Sept. 2 at noon and, for those missing it, will air on ABC.

The home game against Pitt, Pitt’s first time back to Happy Valley since 1999, will also air on ABC and kickoff is 3:30 pm, Sept. 9. The Big Ten Champs will also be hosting a few conference teams this season including Indiana, Rutgers and Nebraska.
