Penn State hockey set to face ND

After completing yet another sweep against Minnesota last weekend, Penn State advances to the Big Ten Championship semifinals. The Nittany Lions will play the Fighting Irish this afternoon at the Compton Family Ice Arena in Indiana. You can catch the action Saturday evening at 5:30 on ESPNU or on the WatchESPN app.

Penn State is now 18-13-5 while Notre Dame sits at 23-9-2 for the season. Notre Dame almost swept Penn State in their season series, 3-0-1, but the Nittany Lions are looking to fight back and win in single elimination this weekend. No. 4 Penn State is coming off a hot winning streak of five games but the No. 1 Irish are well rested after a bye-week, looking to gain their first Big Ten Championship during their inaugural season.
