PSU hockey team hosts Big Ten Tourney games

UNIVERSITY PARK — After earning their first sweep against Minnesota this past weekend, the Penn State Nittany Lions will be hosting their first ever Big Ten Championship quarterfinal round at Pegula Ice Arena this weekend.

The No. 4 Nittany Lions will take on the No. 5 Golden Gophers again at 7 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday night. If the series is split after Saturday night's game, there will be another game on Sunday to determine who will move on to the next round.

The winner of this weekend's series will move on to the single-elimination semifinal round of the Big Ten Tournament next Saturday. After receiving a first-round bye, Notre Dame will host the lowest remaining seed while the next highest seed will host the lone remaining team. The two winners of the semifinal game will meet at the location of the higher seed the following Saturday and play for the Big Ten Championship.

Interested in attending the games this weekend? Single-game tickets for each game remain available for as low as $18 on ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-NITTANY. Not able to attend? Each game will air live on Fox Sports North and will be available for streaming on BTN2Go. You can also catch them on the Penn State Sports Network.
