12 Days of Christmas: Penn State sports tickets

UNIVERSITY PARK – Do you have a diehard sports fan on your Christmas shopping list? If so, there are plenty of options.

Sure, you could give a jersey or a hat as a gift? But why not give them the excitement of going to a game?

If you have a Penn State sports fan on your Christmas list, there are lots of options. Today, our "12 Days of Christmas" feature takes us to the Bryce Jordan Center, Pegula Ice Arena and Rec Hall.

This winter, tickets are available for several sports: men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s hockey, women’s hockey, men’s gymnastics, women’s gymnastics and wrestling.

Tickets are available for all six sports, so why not get the sports fan in your life a six-pack of tickets to the best winter sports Penn State has to offer?

The most popular winter sports are wrestling and men’s hockey. If you want to see a Penn State wrestling match, there are two matches available – vs. Purdue (Jan. 19) and vs. Buffalo (Feb. 18). The only tickets that remain for those matches are standing room only tickets. The remaining matches are sold out, including the big one with Iowa at the Bryce Jordan Center on Feb. 10. If you’re looking for one of the sold out matches, try StubHub or one of the ticket re-sale sites.

For men’s hockey, only standing room only tickets remain. Those can be purchased for $15 by calling 1-800-NITTANY. However, certified tickets remain through Ticketmaster. There are series left with Wisconsin, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Minnesota.

All other sports are readily available. Men’s basketball tickets range in price from $15 to $26 depending on game and seat location.

Women’s basketball tickets range in price from $10 to $25 depending on game and seat location. Youth tickets range in price from $5 to $11.

For men’s and women’s gymnastics, single meet tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for youth.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-800-NITTANY or stop by the Bryce Jordan Center box office.

Women’s hockey tickets are available for $5. For those tickets, stop by the Pegula Ice Arena box office.
