Where to have breakfast (or lunch) with Santa

STATE COLLEGE – If you are trying to see Santa Claus, there’s still time.

Sure, you can go the traditional route and visit Santa at a shopping mall (the Nittany Mall in State College and the Logan Valley Mall in Altoona are safe bets). Or, you can add a little fun to it and couple the Santa visit with a meal.

If you are looking to do that, there are some local options. Let’s take a closer look at what those might be:

The Corner Room

The Corner Room offers Breakfast with Santa every Saturday during the Christmas season. Santa will be there for the next two Saturdays, Dec. 9 and Dec. 16 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Corner Room will have its regular menu available during those hours. Also of note: The Santa mailbox is still outside The Corner Room, so children should drop their Christmas list off in the mailbox.

For more information, call The Corner Room at (814) 237-3051.

The Nittany Lion Inn

The Nittany Lion will hold its annual Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 9 beginning at 9 a.m. The Nittany Lion Inn’s Breakfast with Santa is one of the most popular Christmas traditions in Happy Valley and reservations are required.

For more information or to make a reservation, call (814) 865-8500.

Pizza Mia

If breakfast isn’t your thing, how about pizza with Santa?

During this weekend’s Bellefonte Victorian Christmas, Santa Claus will be at Pizza Mia, located at 106 N. Spring Street in Bellefonte. On Friday, Dec. 8, he will appear from 5:30 to 7 p.m. On Saturday, Dec. 9, he will be there for lunch from noon to 2 p.m.

There will be facepainting and gifts for the kids as well.

For more information, call (814) 355-3738.
