A pair of Penn State teams honored at White House

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A pair of Penn State athletic teams were honored at the White House on Friday afternoon.

Penn State’s national championship-winning women’s rugby team attended as did some seniors from Penn State’s NCAA-title winning wrestling squad. The teams were just a part of “Collegiate National Champions Day.” The teams were honored and hosted by Present Donald Trump.

The women’s rugby team won their 12th overall title. They have won six in a row.

According to a White House press release, a total of 18 teams attended the event. Only the South Carolina women’s basketball team declined the event.
