Fill this weekend with biking, pumpkins and wine

This weekend has is one of Penn State's much-vaunted night games, and you guys are in for a treat. The trees are just starting to change, and that familiar snap is back in the air. It's one of those perfect autumn weekends we've been looking forward to all year long. Have a little extra time here this weekend? We have some ideas to make it great!

Mae

Head out to the Boal Barn for  MAE: the Mae West Musical, a musical tribute to one of America’s most iconic movie stars! This one-woman show, starring the amazing Shawna Harrington is fun and sassy, and besides, if you haven't been to the Boal barn lately, it's time to go back. This show is for five nights only, and that includes Friday and Saturday night. Click here for more. (Duffy's Tavern's award-winning wings sound like just the ticket before the show.)

Kong: Skull Island (FREE!)

Watch a movie outside on Tussey Mountain for free on Friday. Head out early and watch the sun set over the mountains, then enjoy classic movie concessions along with hot dogs, ice cream, and other great food you won't find at standard theaters. It's family fun sure to round out a great Happy Valley weekend. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy!

Steakhouse Saturday at the Nittany Lion Inn

A night game gives you the perfect opportunity to do it all – you can tailgate and eat at your favorite haunts. The Nittany Lion Inn is offering a steakhouse experience with delicious sides and a bottle of wine during Steakhouse Saturday on the day of the game. Reservations (and an appetite) are recommended. 814-865-8590.

Mario's Pumpkin Ravioli

Mario's Italian Restaurant closed its doors this summer, but good thing for us, its famous goodies remain. A notable mention: their seasonal pumpkin ravioli is available at HiWay Pizza Pub. Get one to go on your way to the tailgate.
