Best Dogs in Happy Valley

July is National Hot Dog Month and there's no better place to celebrate than Happy Valley!

Sauly Boys

With a specialty in gourmet hot dogs, Sauly Boys is definitely the place to enjoy this month. Their menu ranges from traditional hot dogs to chili cheese dogs and beer dogs. Two of their unique signature dogs are The Pitchfork, a hot dog with bacon, melted cheese, caramelized onions and dill pickle as well as their El Jefe, that comes with guacamole, corn, pico de gallo and melted cheese.

Baby’s Burgers and Shakes

The 50s-themed diner in downtown State College has some amazing hot dogs and delicious shakes to go with them. Baby’s offers 11 different dogs to choose from. These include the Holy Moly Dog, which is wrapped and grilled in bacon, the Chicago Dog, Reuben Dog and the Hound Dog, along with many more. Baby’s offers a unique twist on the usual hot dog and also comes with a fun dining experience that takes you back in time!

Five Guys

Five Guys is famous for the burgers, but their hot dogs are just as good! Choose from a kosher-style dog, cheese dog, bacon dog, or bacon-cheese dog. Fries and their long list of shakes perfectly add to this classic American dish.

Bradley’s Cheesesteak and Hoagies

This restaurant has some of the best cheesesteaks in the area; however, they are also a great place to stop in a get a hot dog. Grab a traditional dog or opt for something different like the Sauerkraut Dog, Chicago Dog, Firecracker, Pizza Dog or Pepperoni Dog. Good prices and good dogs, what else do you need?

Celebrate the beloved hot dog by stopping into any of these places during National Hot Dog Month!
