Where to Golf This Summer

This warmer weather is ideal for golf and what better place to golf than in Happy Valley? There are many local places that will ensure you an enjoyable and relaxing game.

Skytop Mountain Golf Club is right outside of State College and nestled in the mountains, making for a beautiful view while golfing in a hilly terrain. It's an 18-hole course; their website describes it as “a visual and wildlife gem”, and they could not be more accurate. If you want to overlook the happiest of valley’s while partaking in a game of golf, then this is the place for you.

Another amazing course to try this summer is Toftrees Golf Resort. This 18-hole course was rated one of the best places to golf in Pennsylvania and will not disappoint. Its land spans over gorgeous Pennsylvania acres and nature including the lake off their signature 9th hole. You can spend the night at the resort to continue your golfing experience or take a break and devour the amazing food The Field Burger and Tap has to offer. There’s nothing like golf and enjoying The Field’s hearty burgers or extravagant milkshakes.

Par 3 Golf is located at Tussey Mountain and is a 9-hole course peering down at Happy Valley. It has quality greens and offers more than just golf. Tussey Mountain also has a driving range open to everyone, and an assortment of other recreational activities like go-karts; a trip here gives options to both the golf lovers and every other member of the family as well.
