The most recent addition to the fleet of regional hotels is the Hyatt Place, which opened on March 1. This hotel features 165 rooms and a meeting hall that can seat up to 400 people. While the front of the Hyatt Place faces Beaver Avenue, there is also access to the second floor of the Federal Taphouse on Fraser Street. Valet parking is available at the Beaver Avenue Garage. The Hyatt Place will also feature a gym, business center, and gallery market.
Over on Country Club Lane, the Toftrees Golf Resort will be hosting its Second Annual Swings for Soldiers Classic on April 21. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This golf tournament will benefit injured veterans through the Semper Fi Fund.
The Fairfield Inn and Suites on North Atherton Street is offering a promotion called, “Hop Around Happy Valley.” This promotion allows guests to sample the craft beer and spirits of the area. Guests will receive a $40 Uber Gift Card, a $15 Big Springs Spirits Gift Card, a $10 Red Robin Hood Brewing Company Gift Card, a $30 Otto’s Gift Card, a $20 Gift Card to The Field, and a $20 Happy Valley Brewing Company Gift Card. Rates range from $219-$499 per night.

The Nittany Budget Motel is currently offering a “Sunday Night Special.” Guests will receive 20% off their Sunday night stay if they book in advance. They also have a program that offers a 15% discount to parents of students that attend Penn State, IUP and Dickenson.
