THON 2017 Raises Over $10 Million

Another unforgettable THON is in the books, with a total of $10,045,478.44 raised for pediatric cancer.

It was an exhilarating reveal, with the total once again reaching eight digits after taking a significant hit in 2016. The incredible number speaks volumes about the Penn State community’s ability to rally together for this cause despite THON’s difficult decision to phase out canning.

One highlight of the weekend was a surprise appearance by superstar Joe Jonas, whose band DNCE performed Friday night for the equally shocked and delighted Bryce Jordan Center crowd. It was a moment that's sure to go down in THON history.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in THON for their hard work in making it another unbelievable year For The Kids!
