Pursue Your HappyValley!

It's Spring and the Fun is Ramping up!

It's spring in Happy Valley and our favorite place to live, work and play is coming alive, people! We've got historic concerts (we're looking at you, Bruce Springsteen), Broadway, outdoor fun and Blue-White weekend just weeks away. Here's some of our favorite stuff coming up!

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
April 18

Along with his “Earth Shakin’, Noise Makin’ E Street Band, Bruce Springsteen brings “The River Tour,” to the Bryce Jordan Center April 18! Only performed once in its entirety in 2009, Springsteen’s “The River,” features classics such as “Out in the Street,” “Sherry Darling,” and of course, “The River.” Armed with the promise of “transforming” the audience, Springsteen and his band take you down to the river with the album’s 20 tracks, with staples from other E-Street Band albums like “Born To Run,” and "Born in the USA,” inevitably sprinkled in. In true fashion, the show will be a three-plus hour affair, with the River alone, running over 80 minutes.

Blue-White Weekend
April 16

If you’re planning a trip back to Happy Valley this spring, do so the weekend of April 16th! Watch some of Penn State’s top recruits will take to the gridiron in the annual Blue-White game at Beaver stadium. More details will be coming soon but as of now, the intra-squad scrimmage is scheduled for a 2pm kickoff. Join up with some of your friends and enjoy the Luke Bryan show the night before or Bruce Springsteen on the Monday after!

2016 Maple Harvest Festival
March 19-20 from10:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

April 11-12

If you get a chance to see Broadway right here in Happy Valley (goodbye traffic and long commute!), do it! “CHICAGO still glitters hypnotically,” writes a New York Times critic. CHICAGO has everything that makes Broadway great: a universal tale of fame, fortune, and all that jazz; one show-stopping song after another; and the most astonishing dancing you’ve ever seen. No wonder CHICAGO has been honored with six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, a Grammy, and thousands of standing ovations. It’s also no surprise that CHICAGO has wowed audiences all around the world—from Mexico to Moscow, from São Paulo to South Africa. Whether you’re looking for your first Broadway musical, whether you’ve seen the Academy Award-winning film and want to experience the show live on stage, or whether you’ve seen it before and want to recapture the magic, CHICAGO always delivers.
