When it comes to holiday shopping, there's no place like Happy Valley

Whether you are living in Centre County or elsewhere, you can always ship a part of Happy Valley just about anywhere.

For all of your shopping needs, we here at happyvalley.com have compiled a list of just about anything and everything you could want.

So let’s go!

Often duplicated but never matched, the original grilled sticky comes from The Diner, located at 126 W. College Ave. Prepackaged, grilled stickies are ready to be wrapped or all done up with a bow and put under the tree. Simply follow these instructions to grill up stickies at any holiday gathering: Spread about a half a teaspoon of butter on each “cut” side of the sticky. Place in a preheated skillet over medium heat (275 degrees) and cook about two to three minutes on a side or until golden brown. Do not put "sticky" side down as it will burn the sugar.

If you’re local, you can pick up a box of grilled stickies just about anywhere – Giant, Wegmans, Weis Markets, even Wal-Mart.

But if you are out of the area and want to order some to be delivered, that’s entirely possible. Order them online here www.grilledstickies.com

Is there anything better than getting a bottle of wine in the mail? We think not! Happy Valley is home to several great wineries. The best part? They will ship their wines just about anywhere (some states have restrictions, so be sure to check.)

In our opinion, there’s nothing better than a good, local wine. Red or white? Sweet or dry? At one of the local wineries, you’re sure to find something that everyone will enjoy.

At Happy Valley Winery, there are a plethora of wines to choose from. There are dry, fruity whites to oaky full-bodied reds. One of the most popular wines in the Appalachia Red, which is a sweet blend. There’s even an award-winning Ice Wine. Visit www.thehappyvalleywinery.com to check shipping options along with a full list of what’s available.

Located just outside of Happy Valley in Spring Mills is Seven Mountains Wine Cellars. No matter what type of wine you prefer, Seven Mountains has it. Check out Willy’s White, a 100 percent un-oaked Chardonnay. Proceeds from the sale of this wine go to the Willis Reed Memorial Fund. Visit www.sevenmountainwinecellars.com for more information and shipping options.

In Centre Hall, there’s the Mount Nittany Vineyard and Winery. An extremely popular local winery, Mount Nittany produces 12,000 to 13,000 gallons of wine each year and harvests 12 to 15 tons of grapes annually. You can’t go wrong with any of their award-winning wines. Shipping is available. Check out www.mtnittanywinery.com for more information.
