Weekend events: MMA fights, concerts and sports open November
UNIVERSITY PARK – Does the one-point loss to Ohio State have you down? Need a pick-me-up? Well, good news – the weekend is almost here.
Even though the Penn State football team is out of town, there’s still plenty to do and see in Happy Valley this weekend. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights as you plan for the first weekend in November.
FRIDAY, NOV. 3
Bellator 186 – Bellator MMA comes to the Bryce Jordan Center at 6:30 p.m. If you’ve never seen an MMA fight live, now is your chance! Former Penn State wrestlers Phil Davis and Ed Ruth will be taking part. The first 5,000 through the door at the BJC will receive a Randy Coture bobblehead.

SATURDAY, NOV. 4
No. 7 Penn State at No. 24 Michigan State – After losing to Ohio State by a point last week, the Nittany Lions will look to bounce back against the Spartans in the battle for the Land Grant Trophy. The game kicks at noon in East Lansing, Mich. The game is being televised by FOX. Can Penn State keep its College Football Playoff dreams alive? Tune in and find out!
