Watch party: Where to check out PSU volleyball

UNIVERSITY PARK – The Penn State women’s volleyball team will try to get one step closer to another National Championship tonight when it takes on No. 5 Nebraska at 7 p.m. at Kansas City’s Sprint Center.

If you can’t make it to Kansas City to cheer on the No. 1 Nittany Lions, you’re not alone. But don’t worry – the game is being televised by ESPN.

So, if you’re sticking around Happy Valley and want to take in the game, why not hit one of the local watering holes? Have a drink, a meal and sit back and watch as the Nittany Lions gun for Saturday’s National Championship match.

There are a plethora of places to watch the game. Here are some of our favorites:

Hi-Way Pizza Pub West – Looking to try something new? Check out the new Hi-Way! Plenty of flat screen TVs to check out the action and more than 30 beers on tap. Add to it some of the best pizza in town and you’ve got a winning combination. Conveniently located at 1301 W. College Ave. in State College.

Home D Pizza Pub – You can’t go wrong with Home D. With locations in Bellefonte and State College, Home D is the perfect place to watch the game. Whether you’re looking for pizza, the perfect hoagie or some wings, Home D has it. Home D is also the home of Robin Hood Brewing Co., making it the perfect place to check out the game.

Liberty Craft House – Looking for a unique brew while you watch the game? Liberty is it. With one of the most extensive draft lists in State College, Liberty has something for every taste. Food? Of course. There’s a large menu filled with small plates, salads and sandwiches. Liberty is located at 346 E. College Ave.

Whiskers – It doesn’t get more Penn State than Whiskers at the Nittany Lion Inn. If you want to check out the game, have some tasty appetizers or a full meal, Whiskers is the place to be. Be sure to take your blue and white gear to cheer on the Nittany Lions as they try to bring another title home to Happy Valley. Whiskers is located at the Nittany Lion Inn, 200 W. Park Ave.

Enjoy the food, drink and the volleyball!
