Easter Activities Abound in Centre County!

If you're looking for some family-friendly, spring fun over Easter weekend and in the week leading up to the holiday, you've come to the right place. Happy Valley has tons of different options to choose from. Start marking your calendar now for these can't-miss events!

First, find the Easter Bunny in one unlikely spot. Lincoln Caverns in Huntingdon is hosting the legendary bunny himself, April 8-9, 1-4 p.m. Kids in attendance receive a special Easter treat, and visiting families will enjoy reduced entry to the cavern tours.

Bellefonte's Talleyrand Park hosts an expansive Easter egg hunt April 15, at 1 p.m. Children 12 years and under are invited to search high and low for 15,000 well-hidden eggs, with some even including a special surprise from area businesses! Additionally, kids will love the other games, the bounce house and another chance to see the Easter Bunny in person.

Looking for an egg hunt that's just a little out of the ordinary? The State College Branch of the YMCA of Centre County is hosting its annual Underwater Egg Hunt April 9. The event is free, but registration is required.

For visitors who may be a little old for the festivities, but who don't want to miss out on all the fun, the Teen Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt is being held April 12, 8-9:15 p.m. at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center. Grades 6-8 can attend for prizes, food, games and more.

Moms and dads who want to get out a little early and walk off the Easter candy can sign up for the Bunny Blitz 5k Trail Run & Walk, April 15, 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m., which benefits the YMCA of Centre County and the Northern Blair County Recreational Center. Taking place just a short drive outside State College, the 5k is situated in a beautiful wooded area in Pennsylvania Furnace.
