What to Do
The Pennsylvania Military Museum boasts a picturesque property in Boalsburg. They offer community events throughout the year with guided tours, lecture series, car shows, kid’s events, re-enactments and more. Interior displays include special exhibits, war artifacts and weapons. Exterior displays like tanks, guns and howitzers are all accessible on the well-manicured grounds including a paved pathway.

Seven Mountains Wine Cellars offers award-winning wines from its secluded location in Spring Mills, PA just outside of Boalsburg. Owned by Scott and Mary Ann Bubb, this family venture boasts 40 wines that are available onsite or in restaurants, venues, and grocery stores across Pennsylvania. Columbus Chapel and Boal Mansion Museum offers drop-in tours from May 1 through October 31, and scheduled tours via appointment. Tours include the Boal Mansion that has been in the Boal family for over 200 years; and the Columbus Chapel collection, which includes fine European art and two pieces of the True Cross of Jesus. Guests also have the opportunity to tour the grounds, which include an active barn theater company.

Tussey Mountain offers the obvious skiing, snowboarding, and tubing through the winter, but the year-round venue has plenty of fun to offer in its “off” season.
