This Weekend's St. Patty’s Specials and Celebrations
Classic Irish foods, drink specials galore, music, dancing, free stuff, and of course, green beer—there's lots of Irish fun to be found in State College this St. Patrick's Day!
The Field Burger and Tap
The Field is serving up Irish goodies all week, like the Blarney Burger topped with corned beef and cabbage, and the Irish Fries tossed with roasted garlic and ground caraway seeds, served with smoky cheese sauce. In the shake department, choose from the special Irish Coffee shake made with Jameson and Bailey’s, or the Pot ‘O Gold shake with crushed Oreos and mint. And the Irish Mule made with Jameson, ginger beer and lime juice is sure to be spectacular.
St. Patty’s at Otto’s is always a grand celebration. This year, expect drink specials and live music all day, Irish breakfast, lunch and dinner features, 2017 St. Paddy’s shirts and glasses, State Theatre ticket giveaways, and more!
Breakfast specials will be served Friday, March 17 from 7-11 a.m., but Irish lunch and dinner features will be available from 3/16 – 3/21.
Drink specials include:
- $6 Irish Breakfast Shots (Jameson & Butterscotch schnapps with a chaser of O.J. and bacon),
- $6 Irish Coffee
- $4 Jameson Irish Whiskey
- $3 Black Mo Stout pints
- $6 Otto Bombs (half pint of Black Mo served with a sidecar of Bailey’s and Jameson)
- $6 Otto Bomb Cupcakes (Black Mo cake with a Jameson ganache filling and Bailey’s buttercream icing)
- $5 Black Mo Float (Black Mo Stout and vanilla ice cream)
- $2 Jello Shots (Barrel 21 vodka, Green Apple or Lemon Drop)
With a shamrock right in their logo, it’s no surprise that P.J. Harrigan’s always hosts one of the biggest St. Patrick’s Day bashes in State College. Join them for a night of live entertainment, corned beef and cabbage and other traditional Irish dishes, green beer, $7 appetizers, and a whole lot of fun! St. Patty’s Day Happy Hour will be from 4-7 p.m.
The most Irish place in town goes all out for St. Patty’s Day, with a full day (literally, from open to close) of bands, contests, specials, and more—including a kilt band, the PSU Irish Dance Team, a Best Beard contest (both natural and decorated!), and a free St. Patty’s Day hat for all. Drink specials include all-day $3 green beer drafts, $7 green beer pitchers, $5 Paddy Shakes and $6 Jumbo Jame-O Gingers, plus $4 Car Bombs from 7-9 p.m. You can even get a $4 Irish breakfast sandwich of green eggs and ham!
Gigi’s Southern Table
Gigi’s is going Irish this St. Patrick’s Day. Head to their Southern Shamrockin’ Bash for an Irish breakfast from 8-11 a.m., $5 Irish coffee and $2 Guinness pints all day long, a Big Spring Spirits Irish whiskey fountain, and live music all evening. Plus, enter to win a $250 Gigi’s gift card from 8-11 a.m.!
