Sean Caviston is on a mission to win your heart -- with wine. The restaurant operations manager and wine director at The Nittany Lion Inn became a certified sommelier in 2016. He found a way to combine his passion for telling the stories of best vintage wines with his passion for showing off the inn's impressive culinary chops by creating the wine dinner series, Tastes of the World.
Each dinner is a perfect pairing of wine and cuisine celebrating the culture of a specific region. Sean and his knowledgeable staff start each course table-side, weaving the stories of each dish and sharing their knowledge of the wine region and the unique flavors it creates. All guests, whether connoisseurs or beginners, gain knowledge that will make buying, serving, sharing and drinking wine all the more enjoyable.
Since 2015, Tastes of the World has toured locations like Napa Valley, Australia and France. While the region for the next event has yet to be unveiled, it promises to feature a tantalizing five course dinner with signature wines to accompany each round.
