Eberle Wine Dinner set for Sept. 28

If it’s football season in Happy Valley, then it must be Eberle Wine Dinner Time.

Hailing from the Paso Robles region of California, legendary wine maker and Penn State graduate Gary Eberle will be at the Nittany Lion Inn for his annual Eberle Wine Dinner on Thursday, Sept. 28. Reception hour begins at 5:30 p.m. Dinner service begins at 6:30 p.m.

The dinner will be served banquet-style in the Ballroom – rather than the Dining Room. Between courses, Eberle will speaking about his wines and sharing entertaining stories about his time at Penn State. Tables will be set for 8 to 10 people. If you have friends you would like to sit with, please let the staff know when making reservations.

The following wines will be served: Viognier, Chardonnay, Syrah, Cabernet and Gary’s Muscat Canelli will finish the evening. During the reception, Full Boar Red – a fan favorite from past dinners – will be featured.

Chef Kirsch and Chef Marissa are working on an exciting five-course menu. For those with dietary concerns or requests, simply let the Inn staff know when making a reservation and options will be provided.

Cost of the event is $95 per person and is all inclusive. Seating is limited. Pre-payments will be accepted beginning on Monday, Sept. 18.
