Tempest Productions is a professional theatre company working in Central PA, NJ and NYC.  Tempest is dedicated to presenting high-quality productions that deal with classical and universal themes at affordable prices. Established in 1996, Tempest has deliberately chosen to return to intimate conversations. Dialogues between families, portraits of existence, and characters struggling within themselves are all depicted through the celebration of the spoken word.

Tempest celebrates life and man’s fortitude in facing the human condition through the presentation of modern and classical plays. Tempest combines both equity and non-equity actors as well as union and non-union designers, technicians and interns. With an understanding that the process of creating theatre is just as important as the final product, the company encourages and hires student interns, youth theatre apprentices and volunteers of all ages and experience.
