Happy Valley FAM - Field-to-Fork
Happy Valley boasts a rich agricultural heritage — Penn State began as a farmer’s high school in 1855, and America’s last encampment fair is still a must-see destination every August. The towns and cities in central Pennsylvania are surrounded by a patchwork of fields that provide fresh, amazing seasonal foods for the area’s award-winning restaurants. Discover Happy Valley Agventure for yourself with a visit to a farm that goes beyond sustainability practices and seeks to rejuvenate the land; a distillery that utilizes the spring water flowing in Bellefonte and a re-purposed Oddfellows Hall that sources menu items from less than 15 miles from their restaurant. An added bonus will be a sample and information regarding the Central PA Tasting Trail, which features craft brew, spirits, cider and wine, all on one tasting trail.
