Travel back in time and enjoy the ultimate Victorian Christmas in Bellefonte with holiday classics like Dickens, caroling, arts & crafts, food, tours and much more.
The Annual Bellefonte Victorian Christmas is Friday, December 13th and Saturday. December 14th, 2019. The traditional Opening Ceremony returns to the Centre County Courthouse, Friday evening. We will be greeted on the front steps by Dickens & Company and serenaded by the Bellefonte Community Band from the balcony of the Brockerhoff House. Enjoy entertainment by Elementary Grade School Choirs, St. John’s Elementary School Choir, and other special performances.

Gingerbread House Contest
Who doesn't love this timeless classic? Delicious candy meets construction meets creativity in this unique contest. See the winners and all the creative entries in this annual contest. Categories include adults, teens, children, and senior citizens. Prizes will be annouced and awarded at the Opening Ceremonies.
Judges use the following criteria: use of color and decoration, imaginative use of material, uniqueness of the display, difficulty of decoration, difficulty of architectural detail, neatness of decoration and overall visual presentation. Get started on your entry today!
Arts & Crafts Show - Three Locations
Dozens of artists, artisans, and crafters will be displaying their wares for holiday gifting. A lovely place to buy handmade gifts, the Victorian Christmas Arts & Crafts Show is presented in cooperation with: Bellefonte Historical and Cultural Association and The Bellefonte Victorian Christmas Committee. Two arts & crafts venues, one at the YMCA downtown on High Street, and in the Gymnasium at the rear of the Bellefonte Elementary School located at 100 W. Linn St..
History on Wheels Guided Bus
The History on Wheels (HOW) tour was started in 2017 by the Bellefonte Woman’s Club. During the hour-long guided tour, historical characters will board the bus to share their life stories. The history of the buildings will come alive.
Tickets can be obtained at Plumb’s Drug Store, Woodring’s Floral Gardens and the Train Station from November through Friday, December 13.
Two buses are available for 3 tours:
Bus 1: 10:00 am, 11:30am, 1pm
Bus 2: 10:30am, 12:30pm, 2pm
Please plan to arrive thirty minutes before departure time. Enjoy some cookies and punch while you wait.
