Spring is here, which means Easter is right around the corner! Happily, there are plenty of opportunities to find eggs, treats and spring fun all around Happy Valley, if you know where to look. Here are our picks for your can’t-miss Easter events!

Bellefonte Community Easter Egg Hunt

Grab your Easter baskets and hop on down to the Bellefonte Community Easter Egg Hunt at 320 W. High Street. This annual egg hunt is one of the largest in the region and takes place on Saturday, April 20, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Event highlights include games galore, tasty refreshments and a visit from the Easter Bunny! To make the day even more exciting for your littles, 15,000 candy-filled Easter eggs are sprinkled throughout Talleyrand Park, and golden eggs stuffed with coupons for special prizes are also included in the day's festivities. The event is open to children 12 years and under.

Bunny Blitz 5K Trail Run/Walk

Dog-Friendly Easter Biscuit Hunt

We would be remis if we left out our four-legged fur-babies this Easter! Leashed dogs are invited to bring their people to search for treats at pet-supply store Wiscoy for

Animals’ annual biscuit hunt on April 17, from 6–8:00 p.m. Please remember to be on your best doggo behavior and wear your most festive collar and leash set when you arrive at the hunt location at 424 Aaron Drive, State College.

Oak Hall Regional Park Easter Egg Hunt

If you’re looking for the best opportunity to snap the perfect family photo with the Easter Bunny, be sure to stop at the Oak Hall Regional Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20, from 1–3:00 p.m. where he will be making a special appearance! This annual event invites children up to age nine to participate in age-group egg hunts starting at 2:00 pm sharp. The park will also feature its most popular yard games in addition to the hunt.

Easter Dining Delights

There are Easter brunch options aplenty in Happy Valley to help you fuel up before or after the traditional egg hunts. The Toftrees Resort will be serving an Easter Day Buffet on Sunday, April 21, from 11:00 am–3:00 pm.
