Head to Legends at The Penn Stater this weekend for a tap takeover courtesy of Rusty Rail Brewing Company. The event begins at 6:30 p.m., June 16, and runs all through Father's Day weekend. Stop by Friday, 7-9 p.m., for complimentary appetizers from the kitchen, and to chat with the brewery reps on-site to hand out samples, give away great prizes every hour and tell you a little bit more about Rusty Rail. In addition, each night, you'll have the chance to win a dinner for two at Legends!

Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean you have to fall into a rut of doing nothing exciting.
There's a reason brew tours have become so wildly popular lately. They give you a taste of all of an area's best locally brewed beers and foods without having to do any of the leg work. And Happy Valley Hotels has upcoming brew tours that also throw in an overnight stay.
What better way to ditch the same old, same old?

It is no secret that whether you are a cash-strapped Penn State student or an alum looking to relive your college days, you can always find $2 PBR cans at the Phyrst or a $5 Monkey Boy at The Saloon or the legendary "Case of Rocks" at the Rathskeller. But with a growing emphasis on craft beers and classic cocktails throughout Happy Valley, downtown State College has become more than just your typical shot and cheap beer college town.
