A Look At The Landing Spots Of Penn State's 2016 NFL Draft Class

The Nittany Lions saw five players hear their names called this past weekend in Chicago, fulfilling their NFL dreams as they embark on the next chapter of their careers. While each player enters a slightly different system, all fit in a unique way on their new teams. Let's take a look at how each player projects at the next level.

The Future Looks Bright For Penn State Football

Trace McSorley and others, put on a dazzling display as the Nittany Lions debuted new Offensive Coordinator Joe Moorhead’s high-octane, mobile offense.

In a game that was won by the Blue Squad 37-0, the Nittany Lions total system overhaul was never as prevalent as when redshirt freshmen defensive tackle Robert Windsor threw up at the one-yard line, while trying to keep up with the up-tempo offensive attack.

Blue-White Game Provides Memorable Moments

Minutes after the Blue-White game ended Saturday at Beaver Stadium, thousands of fans flooded the field. The spectators-turned-participants played catch, rang the Victory Bell, or simply ran around. A few youngsters crossed the end zone, celebrating after scoring an imaginary touchdown.

The First Blue White Game

Blue White games started May 5, 1951 with around 500 people in a high school stadium to benefit the Penn State general scholarship fund. A water bucket was the trophy, thanks to the school's student newspaper, which led to calling the game 'the Bucket Bowl.'

Another week down means we're that much closer to Blue White weekend. There will be a number of positional battles to watch in the coming weeks during spring practice, with the quarterback battle being the most important and attractive. However, the Lions will have to shore up a number of holes on its defense, starting with the ever-important defensive line.
