The Future Looks Bright For Penn State Football

Trace McSorley and others, put on a dazzling display as the Nittany Lions debuted new Offensive Coordinator Joe Moorhead’s high-octane, mobile offense.

In a game that was won by the Blue Squad 37-0, the Nittany Lions total system overhaul was never as prevalent as when redshirt freshmen defensive tackle Robert Windsor threw up at the one-yard line, while trying to keep up with the up-tempo offensive attack.

"

McSorley led the offensive cadence, slinging the ball all over Beaver Stadium as if it were a backyard sandlot, going 23-27 for 281 yards.  Tack on four touchdowns, and Mcsorley has solidified himself as a main player in the quarterback chess battle between he and Tommy Stevens., who went 10-17 for 100 yards.

Redshirt freshmen running back Andre Robinson galloped for a 28-yard touchdown, which was the Blue team’s final score of the game.

Note: Sophomore standout Saquon Barkley did not play, as his bag of tricks is well documented and not worth risking injury in the spring scrimmage.
