Father's Day Events in Happy Valley

Father’s Day is quickly approaching and it is up to us to make this day as special as possible for our beloved fathers. If you are looking for something to do on this upcoming holiday, then look no further, because Happy Valley has some Father’s Day events that are perfect for your day.

The State College Spikes have a Father’s Day special that every dad will love, and the memories will last more than just a day. If your father is a baseball fan then you can’t go wrong with this $75 special that includes 4 Diamond Club seats, 4 sodas, 4 hot dogs, a $20 Spikes gift card and an opportunity to throw the first pitch! A baseball outing is the perfect way to spend this day with your dad, and this deal is something you don’t want to pass up.

Another event to take your dad to is the Summer Craft Beverage Expo in Bellefonte. Tickets are only $10 in advance and your dad can enjoy live music, food, vendors, drinking and tasting/bottle sales. Your dad will love this opportunity to taste the best of Happy Valley; a few of the vendors will be Barrell 21 Distillery, Mt. Nittany Winery, Happy Valley Brewing Co. and Otto’s Pub & Brewery, plus many more.

To cool down on this hot June day, take your dad to either Park Forest or Welch pools as Centre Region Parks and Recreation is having “Dollar Days at the Pool” all weekend long, where admission is just $1 and the fun never stops. Have a relaxing and enjoyable day lounging out at the pool.

Father’s Day weekend is also when the 27th Annual Bellefonte Cruise will be held. This automotive show is more than just any old car show. The weekend is filled with entertainment, bands, prizes, soap box races and the car and motorcycle show that features many vintage machines. This is not only a car-lover's dream come true but also a weekend the whole family can enjoy.

End the day with a relaxing concert outdoors at the Summer Sounds from the Gazebo in Bellefonte’s Talleyrand Park. Bring some chairs, a blanket, and sprawl out on the grass while listening to some great music, starting at 8pm.

Treat your dad to a day that is all about him, because he deserves it! Hopefully these ideas will make it a day he won’t forget.
